Just to drop in my vote. I've just converted atypical.net to drupal. I'm likely to keep my LJ going, and embed it in drupal. The advantage is that everyone with friends lists still gets to see me on LJ, plus I get snazzy content management and lots of other modular features.

The downside is that, to post comments directly on my site, you'll have to register directly with it.

I think, given the community nature of LJ and the fact that I know so many people here, it'll be positive to have both. We'll see!
