In such a short time, this is what has been made possible by engineering, by technology, by whatever. It's so taken for granted. We all take it for granted.

We don't all take it for granted.

I certainly remember the old days, and I'm constantly amazed by the progression, both in terms of specification and price.

It gives you a kind of hope - you just know this technology will be the great equaliser, and it will advance to the point where it breaks free of corporate limitations and becomes ubiquitous.

Pretty much the only thing keeping me going in the field - if it weren't for the stubborn optimism, I'd have written off the being felled by Management long ago.

Still want to change fields, mind, just not sure how to do so without adversely effecting my lifestyle.

I spit out the words "This is Images in Vogue. It's got to be." Echoes of the guy's voice from the song "Call It Love" (huge on CFNY in April 1985) were so obvious. To confirm, I just went to the Jack playlist to see what was on, and it was "Lust for Love" by none other than Images in Vogue.
