Part of the reason for the unemployment figures going down is because those are the officially unemployed getting kicked off the rolls. I'd wager that the unemployment rate was somewhere around 20%, actually. Conservative estimate.

I know you want to work in your field of expertise, but if it came down to it, would you do the admin assistant purgatory? I ask some of my friends that who have degrees and vast experience, and all of them have different answers. How about you?

It's a General Delivery address not a PO Box. It's absolutely free. If I sent a letter to "original astrid, General Delivery, Seattle, WA 98101" and you had ID saying that's what your name was, you could go to the post office Downtown on 3rd Avenue and pick it up at the General Delivery window. You don't need to sign up for anything or fill out any forms.

yeah, but no Seattle/King legal connections (addresses, phone, proof of residency, etc.) == no dice. i have no Seattle/Bellevue/King things to connect me to there.
