This song especially is representative of the music I’ve been wanting to make for a very, very long time. I’m just relieved someone still knows how to do it. The rest of the album is a little bit of a bunch of things, but “Embrace” is a direct paean to Sunscreem. “Baby” is just adorable.

When I hear this song, I hear an elastic band ball of The Lotus Eaters, Fire + Steel-era China Crisis, Avalon-era Roxy Music, and even a little bit of Bob Welch-era Fleetwood Mac, à la “Hypnotised”.
