Ben is elusive. I think he's turning into DiFrancesco. I'm just hoping he shows up to my convoc party Saturday. It would be grandly disappointing if he didn't. He's good at coming up with some baked idea up his sleeve, so his "potluck" item will be worth waiting for. Assuming he shows. :/

By the way, we convocate one day apart. How are we gonna see ourselves all dolled up for the ceremony? Hint: due to budget, alas, one thing not different will be my wearing glasses, even though I would rather wear contacts. Doing that would be another $50, so no. The rest? Oh, I'll turn a few heads. But only people who know me.

Without looking at the map (a cycling map? what do you think I am, a leisure rider? HA), doesn't Dav morph into Weston? I've been to Old Weston and Keele for a fun little photoshoot in the rain. It's not so bad a ride. It sounds like you're south of Eg, rather than north of.

And sure, if you want me to drop by for an afternoon (as opposed to a ten-minute stop, as for all that work, there should be a chance to recharge), I'd be happy to. It's my summer of grand uncertainty, so making one afternoon/evening/whatever certain is great for me. :)

And since you've had to be around me a lot these last couple of years, it's a safe bet to say that you're used to my quirks and social crustiness. You also got that birthday coming up, too, which I'm looking forward to.

Eglinton is too hard, too unforgiving.

You think you're avoiding the Hills of Hell by taking Bloor to Danforth to Broadview to O'Connor to Eg. Bzzzt. You think coming back home from there taking Eg all the way back to Yonge would result in all downhill. Bzzzt. When I've survived the climb to Eg going ouest (like a couple of summers ago, late at night), I've made it about as far as Dufferin, I think.

I think Eglinton is a mean sadist which likes invoking ineffable pain on bicyclists (including, as that man in May 2008 met, death).
