I hope you feel better!! Doing good deeds (and “helping friend move” is high on the canonical list of deeds) often bites you in the ass like this for some reason, I’ve found. Somebody tried to explain to me once that this is actually how karma is -supposed- to work, for some weird non-intuitive reason. It seemed to make sense at the time, but maybe I was drunk.
