A connection to the Island would not only relieve the pressure on the ferries (although part of that is due to the “can’t do” attitude which seems endemic to Parks and Rec) and bring a lot of “passing eyeballs” but also improve transit frequency to Cherry Beach. One option that occurred to me looking at the Bing Bird’s Eye View was that perhaps an “outer ferry” could be considered as an interim step, operating from Cherry Beach around the back side of the island to the Pier and which would give quite a different view than the inner ferries.
