you know, the only time i ever witnessed a Web project complete ahead of schedule was when an agency would burn the labour budget into the ground and into a pit by bringing in extra contractors and freelancers for some mad, two-night coding orgy.

otherwise, i’ve almost never witnessed a Web project complete ahead of schedule, and going below budget is a rare thing indeed.

despite promising myself late Tuesday night that i’d have my site’s new section installted and running by first thing Thursday morning, secretly i had to acknowledge that i was in denial.

plus, while i have the multidisciplinary experience to confront and compose every aspect involved here — site architect, copywriter, graphic artist, producer, user interface — that doesn’t mean i’m a natural. not in the least.

but hey, “site coding denial” is something i shouldn’t be ashamed of. every agency is guilty of it. for me, i have to couple this element of denial with the hesitant motivation i now feel every time that i touch anything related to visual communications on a professional basis. nevertheless, my soured past experiences of being horribly underpaid or altogether dismissed have left me feeling terribly skittish — perhaps forever.

anyhow, the new section will probably be done shortly here, since the site architecture is in place and running alright. as soon as it’s completed, i need to throw together some cover letters for those places i wanted to pursue on WEDNESDAY, but Wednesday just wasn’t gonna happen. their listings were published only this week.

hopefully, it won’t be too late.
