Practice Session #17 was recorded the day the Science and Security Board for the Bulletin of the Atomic Sciences said nope to 11:55 p.m. and changed things to 11:57 p.m. for the Doomsday Clock. It was brought closer to midnight doom not only because of continuing atomic threats and nuclear waste disposal challenges, but also because of escalating climatological effects of the Anthropocene.
All DJ Five-to-Midnight podcasts from this date onward reflect this adjustment of the Doomsday Clock with a transparent “7” for all accompanying podcast art.
