another music thing i learned tonight.
tonight, i pulled out a Bruce Cockburn CD i’ve never listened to in entirety before. i know, SCANDAL! but it was on my playstack of new stuff to listen to about four years ago, and it got set aside and lost along the way with all the other stuff going on in my life.
so, like, i just discovered a few minutes ago that at least a couple of songs on here so far have been used as background music for the top of the hour bumpers during the overnight BBC Worldservice programming on Minnesota Public Radio. whoa. i listened to the BBC Worldservice overnight practically every night during my many years of residency there.
so, like, i’m all feeling the homesickness come back to me again. bleh. and just ten days or so before the Minnesota State Fair. *whimper* i want a Kiwianis chocolate malt with my fried green tomatoes and cheese on a stick so badly.
and listening to Bruce always makes me want to drop my shit and finally get the immigration to Canada — home and where the heart is — over with already. if only i could.
