after a week of courting back and forth, my lead in Chicago resulted in this reply from the principal of that design agency:
“i find your work and your communication skills exceptional, the best i have
seen in years.
“with the immediate needs of time, i have determined that i need to pull from
a source of local talent available at my fingertips.
“i thank you for your efforts to pursue a potentially mutual benefit.”
whee. at least she said nice words about my work.
