i got a rejektion letter from an employer today! woo! i didn’t know they still were that courteous!

It’s funny isn’t it. I appreciate the rejections letters because I at least have some indication that they actually looked at my resume.

  You’ve obviously never been rejected by a radio station, tv station or newspaper. :-D
  Don’t ask what they do to you if they know they won’t hire you. At least behind closed doors.

No kidding.
After a while, though, they all sound very much alike. They always reminded me of the potential romantic interest who gives you the “I-like-you-but-not-like-THAT-can-we-just-be-friends” speech. And it feels about the same as that, too.
